Weird dream. Picard nearly destroys first encountered Borg ship, but stops firing to let the Borg retreat. Of course, they don't retreat. They adapt. So Picard et al book it out of there, back to DS9, where a ship is prepared, carrying boarding parties armed with explosives, and a singing Lincoln impersonator (something to the annoying tune of "beat them Borg back home") cheering them on.

I woke up before any earth shattering kabooms and flying beards.

Of all the sky above, and all the ground below, what are the fucking odds? A bird shit on my arm. I hoped it was rain. I looked. It was white. Fffffuck.

So I roll up to Circle K because I want some fuckin' Dr Pepper. Four guys are sitting outside, kinda seeming shady (well they were dressed urban, you know). They tell me that the store is closed because the guy is waxing the floor... I look at them all kinda sideways and say "okay, thanks." And I leave. And I'm kinda eyeballing them as I'm going. And then the one that told me the store is closed comes to my car and asks me for money. I tell him I just use plastic. He... for some reason feels a need to approve of my using plastic. "Yo that's what's up." And then we do that urban handshake thing. I even pulled it off! Uh... so I go to the other Circle K and ask if they can confirm that that store is indeed closed for waxing. And it was. So yay, no robbery in progress or anything; no dead cashier sitting behind the counter, or anything like that.

HEY AT LEAST THE BIRD SHIT WAS WHITE, THE COLOR OF PURE ARYAN BLOOD wait what

 Flying Dreams    2010-06-21 11:59:01 ET
Typically, when I fly in my dreams, I float and try to get propulsion from the wind. I lean up to brake and push up a little, lean down to descend or gain a little bit of forward speed.

In a dream last night, I had a different kind of flight. I would run on the ground, launch forward and up, and keep going. I could lean to steer in more useful arcs. I could turn to land feet-first against things and push off of them to go another direction or to stop. It was always hard to get speed again if I touched the ground, but there weren't any failed starts, just slow flights as a result of less forceful leaps.

This way new way is much better.

So. How about if I buzz my head?
