Well the bakery I worked at closed today. It was sad. The boss came in and had a big talk with everyone. It's not as sad as I would have expected since it was a small place and we were all friends. We'll still hang out. We're all going to cheer on a friend's band this weekend so w00t! So I'm unemployed now! yay! lol I'm not that torn up about it because if you think about it, the government is going to pay me to "look for work" and I'm going to do that but I'm not going to rush right out to find something. I figure it'll pay for the essentials. I kind of want to go on a road trip or something! I can't go to London yet but I can certainly go somewhere in the US. Maybe somewhere warm like Florida or somewhere big like New York! Maybe it's time to go back to school and take on a real job. lol I don't know what I would want to do though. Anything creative. As long as it's not digital graphic arts I'm good. lol I have a serious hatred for Photoshop and anything resembling it. It's just not real art to me. It doesn't take the skill it takes to physically draw or paint something. I have appreciation for it. Anyway, I better go finish filing my unemployment and then it's off to do some retail therapy. lol I guess that's just a natural part of being a girl.

Valentine's Day was great. Went to a party with a bunch of friends and played the Wii. I didn't win any game we played. lol Of course I brought dessert which was a big hit. I love dessert. Heck, I love food. At 5'6" it's hard to keep weight off but my friend, Gym, helps. I think food is awesome if you can do it in moderation. I don't get gluttony. I can't oversaturate my body with something no matter how good it is. I guess I'm just a prude. lol I went to a local sandwich shop today on my lunch break and a guy who works there finally struck up a conversation with me. I go there at least once a week and I've always thought that he is such a cutie. His name is Dean and he's tall with brown hair and brown eyes. We talked about Family Guy and The Office. Turns out we're both big fans. He didn't ask for my number but he did say that we should hang out sometime. I'm hopeful. :P Anyway, that's it for now. My roommate is working on a big project. Might not see this computer for a while. lol Maybe I'll sneak on again tomorrow when he goes to do his laundry.

Today is my day off. I'm actually not elbow deep in flour and sugar. My little yorkie loves it. lol Anyway, I don't know how to start a blog. Do I talk about who I am? Or where I've been in my life? Nah. I'll just jump right in. :) One of my roommates, Tyler, is a graphic designer and I can't believe I got the computer away from him long enough to type out a blog post. My other roommate, Sara, is a fashion design student. She's awesome. :) We're all creative people so it's really interesting sometimes. Ok, most of the time. Our apartment is so many different styles and colors it would probably give a normal person a headache. Anyway, I'm craving some mileage. I've been to Canada, Mexico, Australia so I'm thinking London. I had a dream about going there and I LOVE their accents. I've been listing to some UK Top 40 lately (I found it on Tyler's MP3 player), which is weird because it's not normally my type of music but it's an interesting array of styles. I'm curious now. I've got some vacation time coming up so I'm hoping to plan something soon. I could go sit in a real pub, have some good fish 'n chips, and maybe go sightseeing. I don't mind playing tourist. I'm definitely not one of those stuck up people who go to a different country and try like crazy to not look like a tourist. If the opportunity presents itself for me to see something that normal tourists don't see, then I'll see it. But, I'm willing to bet it's pretty boring to see things from that angle just like it would be for a tourist visiting here. lol I just wanna go with the flow really. I think that'd be awesome. So, yeah... I'm gonna run to Ikea today. I LOVE Ikea. I have a disgusting habit of going to the store and grabbing something that I want and then somehow walking out of the store with at least 2 other things that I didn't know that I had to have. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration. I need some new pillows. Yay for my first post! 7 comments
