I guess I'll have to try forming it all as one next time. Badtz-Maru onigiri is made with black Thai rice and filled with tuna and pickles. He didn't work so well, because the black rice is the wrong kind of sticky. If I do it again, I'll just add a few grains of the black rice to my regular pearl rice to dye it purple. I had to use orange cheese for his eyes, because I didn't have any white on hand. I have to remember to bring a fork to eat it with, because he's going to fall apart, unless he sets overnight. The rest was haphazardly thrown together, because it's late and I need to go to bed. . . |
