Alas! My plan to wake up earlier in order to guiltlessly waste time is working out perfectly! You know what allows me to do this? Not drinking every night. It's actually working. I suprise myself every morning that I don't wake up cross-eyed.

I've been reading 'Valice' from Philip K Dick, and it is wonderful. Highly recommended.

I've also read this one fucking book called 'Tuesdays with Morrie.' My dad gave it to me as an xmas present. He got all inspired by it. I think it's the lamest, most watered-down, made-for-TV book I've ever fucking sat through. I know some people out there can sit and read anything. I ain't like that. However, my dad was really into it, so I figured I'd give him some respect. Bad mistake.

But yeah, I've been reading a lot lately, and it's working out really well. I feel like I'm doing well for my brain.

Okay, I need to get a haircut and buy some bread. Peace.

Books. Haircuts. Bread.

I can't remember if I've already shared that quote with you, but if I did, I'm doing it again because it's so great.

Philip K. Dick is a good author, I must say.

Mmmmm. VALIS rules.

That's what I'm sayin' Dan. Fuck wasting my eye-sight on crap like that. Don't know what came over me. Me and my dad have a relationship that stands on stilts above a river with a current that ebbs and flows like the passing of time. There's moments where my dad blows my mind with how understanding and interested in life and art he is, and then there's others were he makes me bored and uncomfortable with how conservative he wishes he could be.

We're getting it together in terms of tolerating each other and respecting each other, but fuck man, sometimes my dad busts some Ned Flanders shit and I'm like "wha?" We all got potholes in our personalities, so whatever.

Philip K. Dick is so nice. My next task is to read "Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep," seeing as how Blade Runner is like my #1 inspiration for living.

DRDofES (<---I hate acronyms, but I do not want to type that out right now) is good and EXTREMELY different than the movie, just so you know. A Scanner Darkley is also a good Phillip K. Dick book. But you know what I figured out after reading a lot of his work? He is obsessed with boobs (not like that's a major surprise that a man is obsessed with boobs, but most don't write about it in their science fiction novels).

I never saw the movie, but am reading the book. It is a very good book. I love it.
