so the show lastnight... maybe ill just do a huge recap of yesterday. so i wake up and hang out for a few hours. my mom goes to the second day of conferences but missed them cuz they ended at noon. so i go get smokes while shes gone.. umm... it was way hectic... not cool. So 130 i take her to work (mind i wanted to be downtown at the venue at 230, 245 at the latest) i go pick up brian on the way back (i didnt know i was taking him till that morning when he barged into my house). go home clean up, and leave to pick up emily. Brian informs me that we need to stop at yvonne's house which is on the way.. we stop there, and emily is all out of place cuz she knows none of these kids. anyways after staying there for over 45 minutes, we say goodbye to all the homies and head to the venue we get there and it was aboot 330, oh well. were talking to some kids. paulo jeff and anna.. all pretty cool. brian goes and makes out with anna in the back of my truck. fun fun.. more people started to show up around 500. we are all crowded around the door, in a psuedo line for warmth and fun. we were singing random things.. amazing.. 700 finally roles around and i have to piss like a racehorse drinking coffee so i run to the bathroom , and get back right when the last spot on the barrier was taken.. oh well... so i just stood behind kevin and kept my hand on it.. stupid mtv2 girls. so
Coheed and Cambria
Coheed finally starts, and so does the pushing. people in the back in a last ditch effort to get up front start pushing forward(like at every other show) but this had to be the worst pushing i have ever seen at a show, ever! the pushing was so bad, it brok the barrier, which may i add is made to withstand those things..so i went in back, not really being able to enjoy the show cuz of stupid fucks.
well the acoustic were terrible and the sound guys sucked... i could barely hear claudios voice.. i was sad.. but they did play really well. oh bought a wicked coheed trucker hat!
Thrice
so thrice start, right before i have come to hear that nick got his fott stuck under the barrier when they were trying to push it back up, but it wasnt bad, but my friend paulo was not so lucky, they think his foot is broken. i was not to impressed with thrice's performance. couldnt differentiate songs, and didnt have good energy, so i just went and started throwing scissorkicks and windmills in the "pit".
Thursday
Thursday totally redeemed the night... i totally felt it right when they played. Geoffs vocals were so amazing. Wild and crazy amazing energy. it was so heartfelt, he totally connected with the crowd. The played my three fav songs too! Jet Black New Year, Paris in flames, and War all of the Time for an encore! amazing show they put on.
Post show
went out to the car, and waited for nick.. talked to the homies fora bit and left.. amily seemd non to impressed with thursday like i was with thrice, but she wouldnt shut up about them, lik i wouldnt shut up about thursday. oh well, we had the same conversation about a certain person that we have every single time we talk.. fun fun.
