Skav 2008-12-21 02:47:57 ET Just woke up 5 hours early before work. It was cold yesterday. I mean bitter cold. The daytime temp with the wind was -11. Whiteout conditions prevailed from the west, to the point where you could see no futher then about 500 feet. By the time I got off of work, it was about -26. Still under a severe blizzard watch till Monday afternoon.Right now the temp without the 35mph winds is at -10. The sky is clear,But bone cold.Have the heat on, space heaters on here and there, wrapped in my plaid polar fleece robe and lounge pants, and am still shivering a bit! The police have advised as little travel as possible.And I work until 7pm tonight. Thrilling!!!

sinoxxx 2008-12-22 07:12:19 ET i heard bad things about walmart, but i think, working life is much stranger than 10 years ago, and in america much more, also in germany itīs not easy,too and there are more ppl with two jobs or so.

sinoxxx 2008-12-22 23:04:34 ET i worked at burger king sometime, and it was the time, the nightcleaner was in africa, so we had to do his job after work, that was cruel! i had a lot of bad jobs, incliding time-work and callcenter-agent! the best job i had was by a farmer a few km outside of my town, where i selled vegetables and fruits and was closed to the family, and every evening i cooked fresh vegetables for me and my daughter. at burger king i lost a lot of weight, cause of the stress and i was vegetarian at this time! most ppl get fat there!

Skav 2008-12-23 07:48:01 ET Fast food is no fun. Working with oodles of grease. Rude customers,and the like. I worked at a call center. Those are the rude people. But I undrstand the rudeness, when your trying to sell stuff people don't want or need.
