Telal 2002-12-02 08:16:14 ET My computer is spontaneously and randomly turning itself off. This is after having problems before in which it BSODed at odd times. I'm wondering if this may be the end for it, which would really suck since it's only two years old and I didn't want to spend money now to get a new one. *ARGH* Any suggestions?

Telal 2002-12-02 12:41:45 ET I suspect it's a hardware problem, in which case that wouldn't help. In any case, I will try a system restore tonight, provided the computer stays on long enough. I shudder at the thought of reinstalling XP, having the computer go off halfway through and making enough of a mess of my hard drive that I have to format it and lose everything.

Doom 2002-12-02 13:07:08 ET scratch my original thought, I thought it was the Monitor, not the computer.
