Last night I went to see Thank you for Smoking, with my parents, sister and her husband. It was excellent, though I noticed we were the only people in the theatre who were laughing hysterically. So maybe it only appeals to anarcho-capitalist libertarians or something, but anyway, I thought it was awesome.
After that, I went by my ol' mate Nadav from Jerusalem's apartment-trashing event. He's leaving for a couple of months in China, the bastard, while we're all going to war and/or die of heat.
So, in retaliation, we all got completely drunk and shat all over his place. Which was great fun for all.
Then I sent various weird text messages to people across the globe.
Today I went to my folks place, cleared up some 4 garbage bags full of some old clothes and shit, and then went to visit grandma. Came back, and met up with Roy and Jennie for a meatie-dinner.
Now, I tire, and will go read comics or something.

All n' all, good fun.

Neil and I just watched Thank You for Smoking too last week. I had no expectations, so I was very surprised of how good this movie was. I think every person who took a philosophy or logic and reasoning class would appreciate this movie. People in the theater here did laugh out loud during the movie, so go figure... I also heard that the author of the book is a conservative, which doesn't make that much sense to me...

i stil hafta see that.

and well if he's an old school conservative or independent conservative then that kinda makes sense. the true definition of 'conservative' has been distorted by the republican party about as much as the original meaning of 'democrat' has by its party.

Our conservatives are really radicals who want to change everything, and liberals want to retain the last 50 years. It's a mad mad mad world I tell you.

heh, yeah. I noticed that Libertarians are often on both sides of the political map in the USA, or reluctant of both.
Republicans tend to be conservative when it comes to personal freedoms, and liberal when it comes to economics. Democrats tend to be liberals when it comes to personal freedoms, but conservative (i.e. socialists) when it comes to economic freedoms.
Libertarians want both freedoms.

Ye olde Free To / Free From debacle.

I've wanted to see that movie for a while, and after your quick little say on it, I think I'm motivated enough into checking it out. thanks. :)

also, shitting in someone's house can be fun and productive, but I've often found that you cannot talk your way out of wiping your own ass on your friend's pillow when put into a situation like that.

No, not even if you yell surprise.

That was an awkward drive home.
