We're all moved in. ^_^

I don't have internet right now, so I'm at my dad's while I'm doing laundry.

We're going to move the cats in soon. I can't wait. We wanted to wait until everything settled down.

We're actually going to be in the place Thursday night. The lady offered it to us. It gives us an extra night to help lessen the stress load of hauling everything everywhere.

We're going to try to get as much done as possible because of course my Grandparents are coming home a day after we are officially tennants and they have no place to sleep because my Dad told me to put the boxes in the room they sleep in.

I don't really care.

I'm fucking ready to get the hell out of my house. I don't even want to do laundry over there right now..I'd rather sit my ass down at a laundromat with a book.

Chad and his friend from work are going to move a lot of stuff on Saturday. We're going to draw up a mini floor plan so we end up with stuff in the general vicinity.

On a side note, I like hair swept totally off the face with long earrings. Not flashy, sparkly earrings..more like metal and wood or sterling hoops.

Kay I'm done.

Did I mention

I am so so so ready to move.

Its pretty much all I think about. Maybe its the looming vacation coming up as well.

I'm neurotic and that's okay...its only going to help in the organization of our apartment.

Weird but I can't believe Chad and I have been dating a year already. I just think of where I was a year ago and where I am now. Comparing them, I'm in a much better place, especially mentally.

I cleaned my desk off and out yesterday. It looks great. I also started a filing system that was better than the one I had before.

A week from now we'll be hauling boxes. Yay!

Have I mentioned?

I cannot wait to be out of my house.

We start moving June 27th. I'm on vacation June 30-July 7.

Thank god.

Last week
2008-06-16 20:38:02 ET

It has been pretty hectic around this week lately. I was home alone and we had quite a bit of water in the basement plus our gas was turned off all weekend-so- no hot water. It was scary because Chad and I had to drive through a huge storm in order to get back to my house to make sure everything was okay. I really shouldn't have left.

Frankly, I'm one of the lucky ones in the family. Though my Dad was gone and it was scary, 2 of my aunts that live in Park Street in FDL got a ton of water in their house. Feet, not inches. My Great Aunt owns a historical bed and breakfast in town and she had sewage backup to her basement ceiling. She fell and broke her hip. She's in her early 70s. She's tough but a hip break is horrible.

She's in a nursing home right now because she's waiting for the Dr. whom she had pin her wrist when she shattered it to do her hip. The problem is, she cannot be at the hospital because they haven't had useable and sanitary water.

My aunt Mary had a ton of water in her basement too. There's been a lot of houses that have been wrecked. People's personal items too.

Like I said, I'm just eternally greatful we only had rainwater come into our house...it smelled anyhow but thankfully it wasn't sewage.

Chad and I found some great stuff for our apartment. 1 couch, 1 lamp, 1 leather recliner, and 1 standing mirror all for approx $150. They need to be dusted and wiped down but they are in great condition.

I'm just exhausted. We're supposed to get rain again sometime soon.

My Dad and I are going to the Zoo on Wednesday.
