Embarrassment

Xaikayla 2005-10-10 19:01:29 ET SO I sent off my wedding invitations. By advice from the soon to be in-laws I just popped a stamp on them and sent them off in the mail. I was at a friends house and notice the recently arrived invitation on the counter. It had a stamp on it that declared the thing 23 cents short in postage. I appologized to my friends and although I have been told by a number of other people that they've recieved my invite, no one has said anything to me about the postage thing. I feel horrible that people may have to pay for my invitation. I don't know what to do.. I can't recall them. I suppose I make some sort of formal apology at the wedding.

Xaikayla 2005-10-11 06:43:37 ET Ya I suppose that it's not that bad. If anyone is too urked about it they can just not come. This wedding crap has so much pressure. I cried over thoes invitations more than once. I guess I am more bummed that they are not perfect as I hoped they'd be.

Xaikayla 2005-10-12 15:58:34 ET I have mostly family comming to the wedding. Plus there are the people who go to my church who all feel they need to be invited. I'd rather have people I pick, not who pick themselves... Oh well. It's not really about Dave and I or else there would have been no problem with us eloping.

Autumn Solstice 2005-10-14 09:05:00 ET yeah..i've felt like doing the eloping thing..especially now that its getting really close and all the people who insisted they have an invite are now saying they can's show...sigh...i was lucky about the invite postage thing though...the place where we got our reminded us everytime we saw them to take them into the post office and have them weighed...
