Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled. Ezekiel 23:19-21

I've always wanted to build up to a good fart, hold it in, and jam a needle into my intestine to let it out through there, like a strong jet of stinky air forced through a pinhole sized passage, pointed at someone.

| Cops shouldn't have tasers. 2009-06-11 02:26:13 ET |

(The host is kind of annoying, IMO, but on to the topic, I guess.)
"Police say she continued to ignore orders, so they took action." I overheard that from one of the newscasters. I have a problem with police being in a position to give "orders" in the first place. I didn't enlist into my state or country's service. I didn't even choose to be born. Orders? Fuck you. If you have papers to serve me, serve them and get the fuck out of my sight unless you're arresting me for a criminal offense. (In the event of a civil offense, cops have no reason to be aggressive, nor does the civilian have a reason to be argumentative, as that can take place in court but at the time of incident will not prevent a court date from being assigned.)
Anyway, the important bit here is: Cops shouldn't have tasers. With a gun, if you shoot someone, it needs to be justified, or there will be some outcry from the public, and repercussions against the shooter.
With a taser, what are the repercussions? Take the cop to court, and "the one who tells the truth is always the police man." You were being aggressive. You made aggressive gestures. The cop felt threatened and took action. Case closed.
Cops use tasers for intimidation and absolute control. It's a dangerous technology. It's not one that should be used against a free people.
Fucking Gestapo.

"Media conservatives fearmongering: Obama will "take away your gun"
SUMMARY: Since President Obama's election, several conservative media figures have warned their audiences that Obama is planning to, in the words of Glenn Beck, "slowly but surely take away your gun or take away your ability to shoot a gun, carry a gun" or have suggested that a government effort to ban guns is likely."
Personally, I think anyone who isn't a convicted criminal should be able to own sufficient conventional armament to stand toe to toe against a government equipped soldier (meaning I probably think you should own an assault rifle and a vehicle mounted machine gun if you want to; therefore, if enough people ideologically oppose the government on something, they have the military ability to back up their dissent, which, as a deterrent, will be enough to prevent civil war, as an armed government can't stand against its united armed people and have any kind of moral backing, nor the support of other countries, nor probably the luxury of those other countries keeping out of the conflict; this is not the same as "give one man enough firepower to blow up the gubmint," this is "give all men the power to stand as a majority against tyranny, when due process and reason fail"). However, what's going on here apparently is that loud conservatives are trying to scare as many people as they can into buying up guns. IT'S ALMOST LIKE THEY'RE ON THE ARMS DEALER PAYROLL OR SOMETHING. (Folks like Howard Zinn convincingly convey a belief that arms dealers are the ones that posture us for global conflicts. It seems that human survival insecurity is an easy thing to commercially exploit.) Now, with as many accusations as there are of conservatives getting into bed with the defense industry, private military corporations, and related enterprises, I don't know how it could seem far fetched to accuse conservatives of being just defense industry lackeys; an instance of the tail (people who profit from war) wagging the dog (us, from teachers to soldiers, the people who vote for the people who involve us in war).
