i've always been fairly against bathroom graffiti - mostly because of the general content found in it, but lately i've submitted to an unexplainable urge. that urge is to partially unroll the toilet paper in the stall, write magic 8 ball-like fortunes on it ("as i see it, yes" "outlook not so good" "sources unclear, try again later" etc) and roll it back up. yesterday, it took a turn toward social experimentation with the message: "when finished in here, exit the building and walk to your left. You will encounter someone with an orange shirt. ask them about their mother." i should also note that i am only doing this at San Francisco State University during finals, when everyone is looking for an answer and will often resort to uncharacteristic behavior.

the word "avocado" is derived from the Aztec word "ahuacatl" meaning testicle. They were so tied into concepts of sexuality and fertility in middle America that until fairly recent times, people who wanted to appear chaste would not buy them. I can imagine a scenario where a woman walking up to the checker with a bag full of avocados, places them on the counter at which time the checker looks at her and says, "slut."

anyone need a room during the summer in scenic downtown oakland?
My roommate Nicole is going to Hawaii for 3 months, over the summer. The room is the largest room in the house and will remain furnished (bed dressers, etc). It is a 4 bedroom house with 3 other roommates: Paul, Walbert and Myself - all pretty clean and easy to live with. The house is pretty big, so everyone can have their personal space when they want it.
-2 bathrooms 2 showers
-huge kitchen
-2 living rooms
-quiet back patio/yard
-high speed wi-fi
-2 blocks from 19th street BART
-2 blocks from Mama Buzz and the Stork Club
-walking distance to the Uptown, Ruby Room, Ghost town Gallery, 21 Grand, Radio Bar, Cafe Von Cleef, China Town and Lake Merritt.
The house is impeccably decorated and there is a virgin unicorn piņata full of mysterious treasure.
What more could you want?
