kate78 2002-08-08 19:37:07 ET i need some damn friends up in this place...anyone want to be my friend??? well that is that lives in the lawrence kansas/ kansas city missouri area???? i am one bored and lonely girl over here. i am dying my hair...the red and black was getting old...now it will be green and black...i also needed something new for hits....i hope shelley will still come visit this month. i also hope gnatty will give me a fresh shave on my head...i hate cutting my hair myself. damn i am in an odd mood. someone be my friend. rwanda and i are VERY bored. i applied foe 2 jobs today...i hope i get the one in the silkscreening factory....but with my never ending shitty luck i will have to break down...call cinemark...and have them transfer my file to the merriam theater and do movie prijection once again. how about that friend thing? any takers on that?

kate78 2002-08-09 09:14:47 ET ahhhhh....i went and looked at the page...they are a christian punk band...i am not into a religion and christian punk always seemed like an oxymoron to me, so it is no surprise i have not heard of them. regardless that girl is a pretty girl....so i will take you saying i look like her as a compliment...so thanke :) lawrence in in kansas....it it just outside kansas city missouri....aka the middle of fucking nowhere. hahahahahah...maybe that will give you a clue as to why i am sooooo bored. i have a scholarship here to attend graduate school, so that i why i moved here:)

kate78 2002-08-09 09:31:37 ET well i got my bfa at texas tech university....after i applied and was accepted into graduate school....ther offered me the scholarship after reviewing the my portfolio and application materials. i suppose it was lucky on my part. i wouldn't say i bash christian punk...i just think it is an oxymoron. when punk first started to appear in london in the 1970's, a large part of the movement (not all of it...but part of it) was a revolt against the church of england. punk has always (and to me always will) have an anti-religious side and tone to it that is located deep in the roots of punk. that is why i find christian punk to be so silly in my mind....plus i find no place in my life for religion since i feel it is a waste of time MONEY and and have been harrassed most of my life by christians....plus look at all the world conflicts past and present that are a result of religion. so i don't think i bash religion or christian punk...i just have no disire to have anything to do with it and i suppose i avoid it and/or just mind my own business and stay as far from it as i can. i hope that makes sense....
