Remember that this is a gift you have and one most others don't possess. OK , so nobody loves me enough to read all of that but I never thought I was one who was a love kind of person.

bootslut01 2002-11-29 17:36:14 ET I think that that is partly acurate. you want people to give as much love as you do so to avoid having any sort of bad feelings with others you: 1. lie down and become a doormat and 2. you never share how you feel with people.....if you truely want love you have to let people know.

CellarDoor 2002-12-19 00:01:23 ET I really liked what you wrote and I wanted to comment by saying that we all are at different points of our emotional lives and whereas you may be at that point where you are more comfortable in sharing your love and displaying your emotion that you shouldn't doubt that you are receiving love in return. You just have to be smart in who you give your heart to... I don't know if you are Christian or what not but in Proverbs 4:23 it says: "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." Sure there are those moments where you fall for the person you can never get but see that as not being love but as more of an infatuation more than anything. I think that's the worst thing these days. People throw the word love around way to easily. But then I believe that true love is indescribable and trying to put it into the confines of spoken or written language is a huge disappointment at times. But that doesn't mean to stop trying to.
