Ausfahrt. Huh huh. It's the berman word for exit on the Autobahn. Farht is the german verb "to drive", and it sounds exactly like "fart". I found that amuzing to no end.
I ended up renting a car in Amsterdam to drive to Strasbourg, which ended up ruling very much. I got to drive on the fucking autobahn, and did about 110 MPH (170 kmh).
The Irish passport helped, especially when I got stopped in France at a checkpoint and had my car searched. They saw my Dutch plates and probably thought "drug runner". The French blame Holland for much of their drug woes (despite Holland having a lower addict rate than France). I could be wrong, but I think perhaps the Irish passport saved me from a body cavity search. It certainly got me in shorter lines at various immigration points.
I didn't smoke or fuck anything in Amsterdam. I detest the idea of smoking anything, and as for fucking, I was with my brother, and that would have been weird, aside from I'm not sure if I'm ready to pay for it yet. I'll beg for it. I'll get down on my knees and beg for it, but I don't know if I'll pay for it.
So yeah, I had a great time, especially hanging out with vegan punks in Utrect. Vegan food is hard to come by in Europe unfortunately, so I ate only sporadically. Luckily British Airways had vegan eats for me. |
