Yeah but he didn't bother to pull her out before calling 911. Then again, how could you pull dead weight soon enough to save a life? I guess you can't blame him for calling for help first.
He did the right thing. He didn't know what type of injuries she might have had. It's like they tell you in first aid training: If you don't know what's wrong with the person then don't move them.
Yeah, I understand your point. I just remember how the media panned him with the tape of the 911 call. The 911 operator actually asked him if he got her out of the pool. I really don't think he could've even if he tried. That would've been time wasted from getting in touch with the proper rescue personal.
