Stupid people

Got a text from my mate this morning telling me that she can't start work (she works airside at Heathrow) because of a security scare.

They're stopping people taking hand luggage on the planes and loads of flights have been cancelled.

full story

Now I'm logged onto a photography forum where there's a load of idiots going on and on about how they don't want to leave their precious cameras in the hold. And saying stuff like "Yet another blow to the right of freedom". Dear god!!

The world is totally going to grind to a halt if some self-centred idiots cannot take their cameras on a plane as hand luggage! And, of course, them taking their cameras is far more important than preventing bombers! Silly silly security people, how can they get their priorities so wrong?

I'm so glad I have no need to fly. I haven't flown since 2000. I don't agree with the "yet another blow to the right of freedom" bullcrap though.

I'm just not flying in that case. Last camera I put in the hold was stolen, and I don't have the cash to replace any of my gear at the moment.

I was considering hopping a commuter flight to DC this weekend.
NOT HAPPENING

oh well.

Cameras nothing. I'm a bit pissed that you're no longer allowed to bring any liquid on planes anymore. I kinda like having a bottle of water handy when I fly, because airports and planes ruin my throat with their over de-humidification and in the winter, their overheating =\

I hate stupid people too!!!! I mean, would they rather get blown up than miss their camaras!!

Some people should get a grip on life, before they lose it!!

The same people are now moaning about how they think the government is overreacting. They'd be screwing if they weren't overreacting.

Well, since I can't train to the places I'm going I to have to FedEx my gear to and from. Three photographers in town have had their kit stolen by ramp personel at our airport this year. I'm not up for being out $1500-$2000 of lights and cameras. At least FedEx is insured.

What a pain in the ass.

FedEx Soooooo expensiveeee =\

DO NOT TRUST DHL

they ruined one of our $30,000 servers. not to mention the 10k/day in operatiing costs we were losing
