Antipathy 2005-08-09 18:07:13 ET my brother might definately be sent to cuba to guard the stupid POW freaks. he's trying to tell them that everything on his body hurts so they think he's too sick to go, but it seems as tho the Navy has no heart. his buddy in italy has been married to his wife for a year and half. during that time he has only seen his wife for 2 months. just a week ago she moved to italy to be with him, this week they told him that he is being sent to cuba too and his wife cant come, so once again they will be separated. for 18 months. some situations make it seem like your problems dont really suck that much. im glad i didnt join the military. thank you james for talking me out of it.. i wouldnt be here and have the ability to hug you everyday.

Antipathy 2005-08-10 13:02:34 ET excellent.. then just today i got a phone call like this: him: "we have on file that you are interested in joining the Navy" me: "well, not anymore" him: "why?" me: "because my brother is in the navy and he is being sent to cuba against his will" then i hung up.

prophetsam 2005-08-18 14:11:38 ET I will refrain from any 'heated' responces, and simply point out that despite race, ethnisity, political ties, nationality, relegion, etc... we are ALL being brainwashed and screwed over by the "Powers That Be". Patriotism is a terrible affliction that has caused FAR too many deaths, almost as much as Relegious Fundamentalism. In times like these, the best thing to do is band togeather as a SINGLE, GLOBAL FAMILY, and DEMAND (as well as do everything in our power to promote) Peace! I feel compelled to end with two of my favorite quotes, of all times. Antipathy 2005-08-19 03:39:37 ET i do agree with you, my brother would agree with you too. he isnt in the navy to fight for the US, he's in it to make some money which turned out to be a terrible mistake. i am bothered so much by the way the government is here that i almost decided to move to Iceland.. but my love for my family holds me back.
