Is it wrong to feel like you are on a little vacation when your loved one is away?

Travis and his dad left around 3:30 this morning to head to Lubbock for Travis's grandfather's 90th birthday and they will be up there for the weekend.

This is the first weekend since we've been together where he is out of town and I don't have to be anywhere or do anything. He went on a hunting trip a couple of months ago, but my folks were in town. Before that, I had to go to NYC for my aunt's funeral and he stayed down here. It's crazy to think that there have been so few times when we have been apart since we have been together...

Don't get me wrong: I love him and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him, but I am treating this weekend as a lazy weekend which will include Chinese food and a "Sex and the City" marathon. Win.

That sounds awesome.

At least he doesn't have to go through the marathon with you. :)

EXACTLY! I told him my plans before he left. He gave me a big hug and said, "I am so happy that I won't be here". hehehe

East Texas? Eww... It's neat that his grandad's turning 90 though lol
I like to think that occasional distance does make the heart grow fonder so enjoy it.

You had me right up until Sex and the City marathon ;)

Haha! That it does! Sounds like he is having a great time which makes me happy.

And don't hate on SATC. It's good every once and a while!

I don't understand why it says "east" instead of "west".
And I have to publicly agree with TOGO but secretly agree with you

I won't tell ;)

Honestly I'm getting kinda bored with the old stuff so I may be cutting
this marathon a little short...
