SaraSidel 2004-07-20 19:59:25 ET Anyone remember the old Johnny Depp movie "Cry Baby"? My cousin and I used to watch it all the time when we were younger. So I bought the VHS tape for i think it was $4.00 haha. Anyway, I realized after watching it a few times (i've had it a while now) that there was this scene I remembered missing from the movie. But everyone I would ask about it just looked at me like I was nutz. So I asked my cousin about it and she remembered it too. but it wasn't on my tape so I was all confused. It was on tv last night ^_^ oh the excitement. And the scene that I had spent countless times trying to convince people that it existed and I wasn't crazy..was in the movie again. Why do directors mess with me so? Apparently the movie has 2 endings. At least that's the only explaination I can find. cause it wasn't just that the VHS had it cut out, it was a whole nother ending to the movie. Ends up the same at the very end of it. And this has made no sense to anyone but me...yay for me ^_^

SaraSidel 2004-07-21 17:43:15 ET ending 1: They are outside the jail having the press conference and Baldwin & "The Wiffles" challenge Cry-Baby to a game of chicken. Cry-baby accepts the challenge, but suggests they be on top of the cars...they then go to the chicken scene, where he is singing his "high school hellcats" song on top of the car. ending 2: (not sure exactly what happens right before this because i turned it on right at this part) they are at umm..turkey point and they are having a singing competition. Baldwin & "The Wiffles" sing "chicken" a song I can pretty much sing all of. and then i think Cry-Baby challenges them to a game of chicken with them on top of the cars, which then he ends up singing the 'high school hellcats' song anyway. i remembered ending number 2 and my tape has ending number 1 ...not sure why. but i'm going to get the dvd one day and see if i get the right version haha

SaraSidel 2004-07-23 22:34:59 ET it's a really really really cheesie comedy about this group of kids from the 50's the "squares" (the rich-type kids) and the "drapes"(the hillbilly rockin' kids) it's kinda considered a semi-musical cause there's all these musical breaks in it where they "sing" and dance..it's baaaaaaaaad haaha but i love it
