Weighed in at 282. 8 lbs down in 10 days. 8 lbs down from my highest weight ever. I refuse to be over 300 pounds. I've never hit 300 but I'm too close for comfort so this needs to change. I don't have a pounds goal, I have a size goal. I want to be able to fit in to a size 14 in Gap Jeans.

I've been going to the gym 4x week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) during lunch and biking 2 miles in 8-9 minutes and doing weights for 30-40 minutes. Today I was pissed because the two more reclining bikes were both being used, so I tried the elliptical, I fucking hate the elliptical. I did 1/4 mile on it and then settled for one of the more standard bike things, but the position is uncomfortable because it feels like my knees are attacking my blubber and makes me nauseous. I made myself do 1 mile on it despite it making me feel that one.

That's great! :)

I always promised myself I'd never be over 300, and then I was on some medication that made me gain a bunch of weight, and I ended up at 320, and felt SO ridiculously bad about myself.

But...when I list 20lbs and hit 300, despite the fact that I was like OMG 300, it was also a nice feeling to know that I was bringing it down.

As of yesterday, I'm at 280, and that also felt pretty damned good!

I have an elliptical, and I can do it for like...2 minutes before it feels like my legs have turned to jello.

Yay for 14 lbs down!!! :D

:-) 150 to go! lmao

It's a start! lol

I know I will probably NEVER weigh less than 200...

I mean, I might, but I would rather be realistic about it. I'm fairly tall, and have MASSIVE bone structure (big boned...totally a real thing. I had an x-ray a couple of years ago, and they were like "Um...your pelvis is wider than the x-ray film" and had to do it in two parts), and I would just be happy to get down to 250. Because I'd know how much I was before, and how much I lost.

WE CAN DO IT! :D

How tall are you? I don't remember when the last time I was under 200lbs. I'm 5'9.
Alot of people in my family are big.
My doctor wants me to have surgery.
Going to the weight loss clinic is my first steps.
I'm not looking to be skinny I just want to be healthy.

2011-07-22 13:25:03 ET

I'm 5'8.

Yeah...everyone in my family is big, except for my sister.

A doctor I saw suggested surgery...but that kind of scares me, because I know stuff can go wrong...and I like to think (hope? lol) that I can get it down myself without having that...it just might take a while.

I've lost 40lbs since November, and I feel WAY better than I did before...so I think it is actually working and making me healthier.

My doctor's been on my ass about it for years & it scared me at first but I'm to the point now that something has to work.
He told me this needs to be my wake up call.
Even if I take off the weight it's always something I'm going to struggle with.
And if I don't do something about it soon even if I lose the weight my knees are still going to be hurting.
My mom, aunt & god sister all had the surgery & their only complaints have been the skin. But overall everyone's been happy with it.

That's good, then! If you think it would do the trick, I'd go for it! :)

I love you guys. Lol. I've considered surgery but I've known people that had complications... I don't think I'm willing to risk it.
