DEATH BY DESIGN: ohhhhhhhhhh and Chris.. on the rediscovery of your forefathers music etc... if its new to me its still new. thats why i buy used books used cds and date used boi's. hey, its new to me.
and the fact that my 2nd favorite book 'the portrait of dorian gray' was written about 100 years ago doesnt make my right to enjoy it any less. as a matter of fact last time i checked, thats a sign of timelessness, of artistic *ahem* QUALITY to retain its potency through time.
Hey, old shit is good! I want 1996 back, remember?
My issue was that nobody was DOING anything new. If old bands sound old, that's fine. If people who were 12 when SP's Cleanse, Fold and Manipulate came out pick it up and dance to it, that rocks. When people who were 12 when that album came out, put out an album that sounds just like it, that sucks ass. you make it sound like I think old things suck, when quite the opposite is true. Other than few exceptions (Negative Format, NCC, Dubok, Dismantled maybe one or two others), all new industrial/EBM bands of the past 4 years are lame boring sucky shite.
INSOMNIA: New York can invent whatever they like, but I went back to San Diego last January and got spotted at a club and asked if I was from NJ just because of how I danced. So there. Jersey dance it is now.
Maybe they thought you were spastic, like Jersey people usually are. ;) (j/k, u know i love ya)
DEATH BY DESIGN: **bops head to cybernetic fuckheadz**
I've never heard whatever it is you're listening to, but that has got ot be the dumbest fucking song title of all time!!! |
