So Quinten left yesterday for his last big underway! We get out in just a little over a month provided his terminal leave gets approved.
I am still really not wanting to leave this place. I have been spending as much time as I can at the beach. I went yesterday with my friend Rachel and her friend Casey. The day before that I went with Quinten. I am really burnt from yesterday because I forgot to put sunscreen on. My back is actually blistering. :( I was just thinking about how the summers won't be the same back home. I'm gonna miss the warm sand and the sound of the waves. I'm going to miss a lot of things about this place and other things I won't.
I get to go home for about a week in May. The Logansport Children's Choir is having a 20th anniversary reunion concert and I have been invited to go. I am really excited. My friend Amanda lives in NC and is going to come and pick me up on the way. We are going to split the gas.
