how to get the smell of cat pee out of my matress? Poor Casy got shut out of the bathroom a while back and used my bed b/c he couldn't get to the litter box. The smell is still there and I have tried odor removing products and lysol, but the smell is still there and very strong. How can I make it go away?

White vinigar can help sometimes.

Theres enzyme cleaners that are made for animal pee that break down the enzymes so it won't smell anymore. They sell them at petsmart, etc sort of stores. Natures Miracle works really well

Baking soda might work, but if the smell has sunk in deep enough the only way to get rid of it is probably a flamethrower.

You can pick those up at the local hardware store right? :P

So far the smell seems to be gone, but if it comes back I'll try the pet neutralizers, or the baking soda. :)

If your local hardware store doesn't have one I can probably get you a good deal on a flamethrower... provided you don't ask a lot of questions.

with 4 cats i've learned that " Nature's Mircale" spray works wonders. i buy it at petsmart or petco, some grocery stores carry it also.
