taxes?
2008-02-04 19:12:57 ET

So, i can't sleep.
i have to be up at 6:30 for work.
Ugh, someone punch me. haha.

on a better note!
it's Feb, so TAX RETURNS! :)
yay! that means i get to spend
money on body mods. I want to do
too much though, i'll be spending
hours on end at the parlor, but
that's cool with me. I decided to be
lame and get my belly button redone.
i feel like it completes my tummy,
as uncool as that sounds. and for some reason
no matter how i take care of it (shitty or not)
every time i get my cartilage on my ear
pierced, it gets infected. i can have my
septum..my lip..belly button..anything else
pierced and it's fine, but then when i get
something simple like that, it gets all icky!
what the deuce.
Tattoos, on the other hand, will be
more expensive, thus less obtainable!
but, i will do my best. i can't wait
to get my wrist done and the other
side of my ribs. Reminds me that i need to
post more pics of my tattoos. <3

I can't sleep either.

Sleeping is LAMERRRR.

2008-02-04 19:19:36 ET

ugh, i wish i could sleep! i hate staring at my computer screen at work in the morning and suddenly knocking my head on it bc i fell asleep. ha.. it's funny but sucks.

2008-02-04 19:20:53 ET

Hah. Someone should so tape that and put it on youtube.
I have to get up at 5 and drive all day tomorrow. suxors.

2008-02-04 19:23:16 ET

blah. going anywhere good that i should be jealous of?

2008-02-04 19:24:15 ET

Just VA beach and the seven cities...but, if you're working then it's no fun! But be jealous~ it increases my self confidence 50 points.

2008-02-04 19:25:48 ET

hahah well to help yer confidence, i'm jealous! plus, you'll be on the beach..helllllo. i live in MA so i'm freezing my buttski off right now. even if you are working, it's better than being up hurr.

2008-02-04 19:27:01 ET

God yes. I dipped below 30 the other day here and I thought I was a dead girl fo sho. where in ma?

2008-02-04 19:29:35 ET

ugh, i wish it would BE 30 here! haha, i live like 20 mins north of Boston.

2008-02-04 19:29:37 ET

Tattoo's > piercings. What ideas do you have for new ink, and what (and where) do you already have?

TBH, I do think people go overboard on the piercings and tattoo's, but there's very few piercings that I think you can consider "artistic".

2008-02-04 19:31:27 ET

honestly, i agree. and i'm not heavily tattooed at all. i have stars up and down my back (i have pics of all these) bows on my hips, something for my grandparents on my forearm, SILENCE on my ribs, and a sxe tat on my ankle. i plan to get my familys moto or surname meaning on my wrist and on my ribs a human heart with headphones plugged in actually wearing them. as tacky as it sounds, music saved my life.

2008-02-04 19:34:01 ET

"Music saved my life."

I think we have a candidate for your third SK entry tonight. =)

2008-02-04 19:34:14 ET

hahah there you go

2008-02-04 19:45:32 ET

cartilage is just alot harder to heal in general. No matter how you take care of it, it'll be really temperamental on some people. it took well over a year before mine even settled down a little bit. I would never get another cartilage piercing again. it's just not worth the hassle.

2008-02-04 19:46:30 ET

totalllllly! i pierced it once and it got so infected i couldn't touch it. literally..it sent piercing (no pun intended) pain through my ear. fucccck that.

2008-02-05 03:27:30 ET

My best friend evar lives in Chlemsford. No idea where that is in relation to you.

Annnnnd, I got an industrial a few years back and it got infected because of my part time job. And I got just a simple cartladge pericing after that...that was like three years ago. TO THIS DAY if it gets pulled the tinest bit, it flairs up and takes weeks to calm down.

2008-02-05 04:04:58 ET

i'm like 10 mins from there! and..ouch

2008-02-05 04:05:56 ET

No shit? I am so going there in like two months.

2008-02-05 04:07:29 ET

werd! tour around Boston? come on..do it!

2008-02-05 04:09:06 ET

Fa sho!

2008-02-05 04:19:55 ET

werd

2008-02-05 04:22:47 ET

i've had mine for like 5 almost 6 years, and it finally stopped getting pissed off about 2 years ago. cartilage has a high probability of scarring up too. it's easy to cause trauma to the cartilage which is why it's so sensitive.

2008-02-05 05:17:37 ET

i have so many scars from it

2008-02-05 05:21:56 ET

yeah. as much as I love how industrials look ... I just don't wanna risk it. plus my job won't let me have it.

2008-02-05 05:39:57 ET

ugh, lame. i hate how jobs wont let people have modifications. it's like they're rather us be robots and not form self expression. don't get me going. haha.

2008-02-05 06:03:27 ET

I feel ya. I've already got one piercing though, that I really can't take out. It's more of an implant, so i have to figure out a way to conceal it. plus my tattoos. this should be fun.

2008-02-05 06:32:49 ET

i hear ya. i have to flip up my septum which makes it hard to breath haha. tats they are cool about at my job though.

2008-02-05 09:30:34 ET

"ugh, lame. i hate how jobs wont let people have modifications. it's like they're rather us be robots and not form self expression. don't get me going. haha."

Maybe it's just me, but I know more people with tattoo's and piercings than without now.

2008-02-05 09:32:14 ET

as do i, but they are forced to be covered or hidden in the corporate world.

2008-02-05 09:39:38 ET

Personally i'm all for having to wear flesh colored plugs. Piercings and visible simply aren't professional save for working in a few places, or places where it simply doesn't matter, and it's better that the higher ups enforce the "covered/hidden" policy. I'm also sick of seeing people that think they're "EXTREME!!!" because they have stretched lobed that make them look like they have elephant ears, full sleeves with no meaning other than "i'm hardcore because I got ink all over my arms", tribals anywhere on the body, tramp stamps, people that looked like they fell down a flight of stairs and landed face first into an open tackle box, etc.

2008-02-05 09:44:48 ET

see it's all relevant to me. i don't give a shit what you look like what piercings/tattoos you do or don't have. i just know i want to be able to express myself the way i want, no matter where i am.

2008-02-05 09:50:27 ET

I tend to start playing devil's advocate randomly, just FYI.

"i just know i want to be able to express myself the way i want, no matter where i am."

It would be nice if that were possible, but society dictates that that is simply not the case.

2008-02-05 09:52:54 ET

agreed

2008-02-05 12:21:17 ET

i can still breathe when flipping my septum up into my nose, but it feels like i have snot big time.

I can see the need for professionalism, but I think it's more than just having piercings vs. not having them. though having excessive piercings can be a problem ... or maybe that's just my personal taste.
