Normally I wouldn't do this, but it's true, so....

If there is someone on your friends list you would love to have a sweaty, legendary, damn near EPIC, 12 hour fuckathon with, post this same exact sentence in your journal.

Counting Flowers on the Wall
2004-07-06 19:56:19 ET

I keep hearing you're concerned about my happiness
But all that thought you're giving me is conscience, I guess
If I were walking in your shoes I wouldn't worry none
While you and your friends are worrying 'bout me, I'm having lots of fun

Counting flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playing solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothing to do

Last night I dressed in tails pretended I was on the town
As long as I can dream it's hard to slow this swinger down
So please don't give a thought to me I'm really doing fine
You can always find me here and having quite a time

Counting flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playing solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothing to do

It's good to see you, I must go, I know I look a fright
Anyway my eyes are not accustomed to this light
And my shoes are not accustomed to this hard concrete
So I must go back to my room and make my day complete

Counting flowers on the wall
That don't bother me at all
Playing solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo
Now don't tell me I've nothing to do

Well we're Living here in Allentown...
2004-07-06 06:33:14 ET

Allentown's got no identity,
as far as I can see.
Billy Joel just used its name
cause it better fit his rhyme-scheme.

Bethlehem's the Steel-mill town,
always was and will be.
Not to mention the young college kids
that populate this old city.

Easton's got the Delaware,
and it's close to New Jersey...
it's a famous town for nothing else
if not the Crayola Factory.

But Allentown's missing something,
not sure what it could be;
It seems to be where people live
and that's all it there needs to be.

The Valley eats up culture
and spits it out in the cities
as they sink into their holes
surrounded by farm and industry

Not close enough to New York,
Too close for comfort to Philly
The third largest city in PA
rots in it's own apathy.

Come through the struggle
come through the fight
wrestled with my demons
made damn sure I won that fight

future seems fine
present's alright
future's got promise
I know that feeling right.

Revved up and ready
Like Rocky before a fight
Be it Apollo Creed, the Russian or Mr T
They're all going down tonight

This poem ain't no metaphor
No allegory or insight,
Just a bit of what I'm feeling
to let you know I'm doin alright.
