i found an interview with robert longo regarding the whole thing and i guess, despite some alternate cut(s) floating around being called the director's cut, he's never actually done a real director's cut, and instead of doing one, he's just releasing the film as-is again but in black and white now.
i mean... i dunno... i may watch it, but it would be cool if sometime he decided to take the time to recut the thing closer to what he wanted vs what tristar forced into existence, instead of just taking the latter and making it black and white so it's 'closer' to what he wanted.
but i guess the guy has other priorities these days so oh well. |
