since i'm an old school social media dude who's accurately predicted the shit trajectory social media has been on years before very many others saw the light of day, and since elon supposedly cleaned house at twatter, and since i live roughly 2 miles from twatter's HQ, i wrote up a bespoke twatter cover letter and applied for roughly 95% of current SF / remote positions at twatter today.
i have zero idea if the site is even salvageable. i'm not enough of an elon fanboy to blindly believe he can salvage the site or that he'll even fully commit this stated goals (IE freedom of speech, better / healthier user experience, etc). but i figure it's worth taking a shot, since i sure as shit wouldn't have wanted to work there prior to now, and i think he and/or whoever he has working there now needs someone in their ear who isn't in any of the tech industry's bubbles of groupthink.
i have zero idea if they'll hire me, but i'm still an unemployed single parent thanks to where all the 2020 BS has left me, so let's see if they bite. 🤷♂️
