Today is my husband's birthday. He is 28 today. I have a crust made that is going to be an apple pie after classes today. He has requested I make pizza for dinner. (I make a really yummy pizza that has not gluten in the crust and no lactose in the cheese) Tonight we are going to see Much ado about nothing at the La jolla playhouse. and the fun doesn't end there!
Saturday I have planned a murder Mystery dinner and invited some good friends. We shall all dress up and play suspects connected to the death of a film and TV heart throb. If you have never been apart of a murder mystery dinner party. I suggest you go out to the nearest game store. Pick a kit up and invite friends. It's alot of fun.
Food planning for this is somewhat an adventure. I am making mulled wine and apple cider for starting coctails.
appetiser will be a veggie plate. I am thinking about trying to make this really cool artichoke thing I had at a resturant recently but I am not sure I can. Dinner has not been determined. I am skimming my cookbooks looking for something glamourous. Dessert will be another apple pie, dulce de leche, and or mudslides. there will be eleven of us with different food resrictions and requirements. This is an intersting meal to plan.

I seem to have this odd understanding for the sock monster. every week I do laundry knowing that a sock will be sacrificed to the lonely entity who gobbles socks up. (I think he eats them. Does anyone know what the sock monster does with the socks he steals?)
However
I will never ever ever ever have any slight toleration of the Tupperware lid monster. It is this creature I will despise forever

"There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. If you block it, it will never exsist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is; nor how valuable it is; nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep is yours, clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep directly open to and aware of the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at any time. There is only queer, divine dissatisfaction; a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.
- Martha Graham
I was given this today. I thought I would share
