My mom is a nurse at the local hospital, and I told her about my hubby wanting to apply at the PD and about the physical. She talked to one of the doctors there who is in the National Guard, and he agreed to sign the medical waiver for him. We took a copy of his seperation physical and thats all we needed.
The physical assesment is on the 31st. I know he won't have any trouble with it. Then he will take a written assesment. Then an oral interview and so on. The process is a long one so hopefully he will be able to find some kind of little job while we are waiting to see if he gets hired or not.
As for me I haven't heard anything about the billing assistant position but when I call they take my information so it hasn't been filled yet.
I really hope things will work out, but if not we have looked at the advantages of rejoining the military, and there are a lot. If he rejoins the Navy he will have I think 1 more year of sea duty and then he will get shore duty. He won't be gone as much then and we will get all the military benefits.
Its sometimes just really hard to look at the bright side of things but when you finally do it makes things so much better. :)
*so the Billing Assistant job has been filled, or at least they have called for interviews, and I was not one of them. Go figure.
