Rivethead. Female. 31. Beer-lover. Terminally shy.

Moderator for Sykoradio on the Sykoforums. Radio questions? I might be able to help.

I dj Sykoradio every Thursday from 2pm - 4pm PST (5-7 for you east coast peeps). I play bands from my favorites list but do not limit myself to just Industrial. In other words, I play whatever my little heart desires. Go here to listen New time and day to be announced.

I'm a fixture in the Portland scene. Seen at most shows and the obligatory Dementia night at Noir or Stahlwerks at the Viper Room. I've been known to harass the djs to no end about playing outdated music by favorite Wax Trax and Invisible artists in the past. I've even spun a few times live so far under the name Dj Medusa. I had too much fun and it will happen again. So whatever...if you see me out in public say "hi". I'll try to not bite and remember your face.

My current occupation is soon to be shipping and receiving clerk at a garden center.

Some favorite bands:

See the many playlists. You'll figure it out. ;-P

*note on background images: they are my ongoing experimentation with Photoshop, slowly teaching myself how to use it. I make them myself with the occasional help from the cut and paste tool.

I dropped by to maybe excavate some old pictures to post elsewhere because my machine is dead for now and I get reminded that there are people here that miss me. I feel realy bad for neglecting this journal. I'll be back when my beast lives again?

I do still live, though. I'm maintaining a music profile on Myspace.

Ok...ah...ummmm...so little time and so much net!

DJ Medusa takes over Noir! (reminder)    2005-05-14 14:00:56 ET
Part one is happening tonight. I'll be bringing the ammo can stuffed full of highly distorted goodies...and Al Jorgenson singing in his fake British accent, of course. :-)

Don't forget about Wednesday the 18th with the Rev. DJ Web. Same place, same time. It's to be a free electronic music night, ranging from drum and bass to electro with me as his guest interjecting the rhythmic noise.

See you tonight!

DJ Medusa takes over Noir!    2005-05-11 15:54:30 ET
Hey, it's been a while since I've been able to bother everyone with a "come listen to meeeeeeee" message. Miss me?

I have two dates set up to spin at Noir.

Saturday, May 14th
with DJ NoN and Valence
$3 cover

Wednesday, May 18th
with Rev. DJ Web
free?

Saturday I will be my usual aggressive self spinning everything from rhythmic noise to old industrial/EBM favorites. Show up early for the noise!

Next Wednesday will be a night of IDM, rhythmic noise, drum and bass, and other weird electronic music. Come show some support for Web and help him maybe establish a new monthly night.

Portland, OR
9PM - 2AM

Come out and shake that thang!

-----------------------

Sorry with the late post, chaos broke out twenty minutes before I was done and I had to quickly jump off-line. And, of course, I've had zero time to think about a new time. But patience, I'll have one to announce sometime in the near future.

It's true; I will be spinning music at Suzie Wong's Seven Star tonight for DJ Horrid's Opium Den. I have no definite plans on what I will be playing, but let's just say that I'm not going to be my usual industrial self. For shame! I actually like the Sisters of Mercy!
