Joe fixed the router and everyone is back online again. Huzzah! I paid most of the net bill and we won't be shut off. Bonus round!

I have to cancel my show today due to technical difficulties. The wireless router everyone in my house shares fried last night. Lame. I need to give this connection back to one of my roommates. Hopefully everything will be fixed before next Friday.

*I came that close to buying a copy of “I Went Out Shopping To Get Some Noise” yesterday, but alas, MusicWerks was out of stock. I guess I’ll get my friends at Ozone UK to order it in if they don’t already have it in stock.

That is all.

Simply amazing. I was a little disappointed with their encore. I felt they should have played maybe an old standard or something else old if they were going to dedicate the main show to their most recent album. I hope I wasn't hallucinating too hard from the combination of booze and the overwhelming sonic distortion in the room because I could have swore I heard them perform "Armenia" live last night. I loved Blixa's little monologue about bringing electronics and gadgets into the country. I am now wishing I hadn't spent $6.00 on two PBRs (which I either gave away or lost) and bought the burn of that show that the were selling post-show.

I dropped far more money than I should have the last two days. I broke my IKEA cherry today with the purchase of a shiny new lamp. It's name is Lista. And I visited MusicWerks and dropped more. The booty:

Haujobb - Eye Over You (cd single)
HMB - Great Industrial Love Affair (cd, 1st printing from Flatline)
Monolith - Tribal Globe (cd)

But this means -dun, dun, duuuun- I need to sell some stuff. It's my BIRTHDAY! I WANNA SPEND MY MONEY ON ME, DAMMIT! Stupid rent...*pouts* Which reminds me, I forgot to opt out on the Washington sales tax at the record store. D'oh!

Tuesday John gave me two Akira mini-vignette sets. One wound up being Kaneda and his bike and the other was the Colonel. He also gave me this little Japanese punk guy that looks like a cross between a Playmobile person and a Fisher Price Little People. He seems to be related to these Bearbrick things.

Hahaha...he has the choking Pac-Man warning on the back of the package. God bless the Japanese.

Oh, and the grouch also got me a graphic novel by Evan Dorkin, Milk and Cheese's creator. He got an early present from me, Nick Cave's new video collection on DVD. It came out on Tuesday. And, of course, it jumped out as something to get him. I'm so bad at giving presents because I get excited about giving one and wind up not being able to wait till the right time to give it. <snip>top secret comment made in lj</snip>

Ahhhhh! So much I could write about these last two days; things like all the various places I visited that I had never been to in my few visits to Seattle. Shorties, Singles Going Steady, The Showbox, the Nitelight, Pike Street Market, the EMP, the Space Needle... I saw the monorail this time. How could I have missed that the last four times I'd been there? As it is though, I have already wasted an hour just writing this. I need to be doing other things, like ripping mp3s for tomorrow's show.

BTW: Anti-copying stickers on cds make me NOT want to buy them. Sure, let's take away my ability to make mp3s and give free band promotion. Fuck you.

----------------------------------

I went to a show last night that I was supposed to see The Punk Group at. We got there right after they had left the stage. Drat! Oh well, they're local so I'm sure I'll get another chance.

Speaking of another chance, I get to see Skinny Puppy June 11th. The only other time I had a chance to see them was around '92 when they were on their "Last Rights" tour. I was living in Green Bay, WI and they played Minneapolis, MN. My b/f at the time went to it without telling me that the it was happening. Of course I found out where he was that weekend. I still curse the name of Bob Maloney. Fucker.
