Loosing my confidence    2004-11-23 21:46:43 ET

There is this silly fear that naggs in the back of my head that tells me I will never be what I have promised others I am.

I am staring at the list of commitments I have made : school, work, Friends, a boyfriend.

I am reminded of mistakes I have made in the last month,

and then there is the room I still am unable to clean.

My trip to Tahoe, if I didn't say earlier, was because my youngest sister was in The Miss Tahoe Pagent. This is on the Miss America Circut for anyone knows about pagents. The contestants are required to have a two minute talent act, Explain their platform, answer a current political or moral question on the spot, Look confident as they walk accross stage in a bathing suit, in an evening gown, and in a casual outfit.

My Sister won! She is now Miss Lake Tahoe 2005. She also won Miss congeniality. This side award is given by all the girls in the pagent. they vote who they think is the most caring, and fun and like being in the competition with the most.
She won almost 2,000 in scolarship money and she'll have to make a number of public appearances over the next year. Our next trip will be to fresno, in july, to watch her compete for the Miss California tittle. And if She wins there... It's off to Atlantic City To win Miss America.

I am so proud of my little sister! I promise pictures are to follow

Oh the people you meet.    2004-11-12 10:06:23 ET
On my way to the airport last night I looked at my ittinerary and realized that I had made my flight for wednesday and not thursday like I thought. So I got to the airport and was put on standby and charged 41 dollars for my mistake. I was told the the flight to Las vegas (where I would stop and then continue on to reno)was over booked and not to get my hopes up. So I waited in the airport for two hours and some guy started talking to me. He was flying standby as well but he had a later flight and was trying to leave earlier. I told him about my mistake and that this was the last flight that would get me to Reno tonight. So when it came time to board and they filled spaces of people who didn't show, the guy who was talking to me was called first but he didn't get on the plane. The desk lady told me I had gotten the last seat. I am pretty sure the guy gave up his seat for me. So to the guy named Robert who so graciously let me go home, I say THANKYOU!

In other news. I just bought myself a new cookbook. It is entittled "What to eat when you can't eat anything." That pretty much describes me cause the Doctor has taken me off all gluten, sugar and Dairy. Just for fun... next time you go to the grocery store, or wander into your kitchen, read the ingredients of the food you buy. You will be supprised how much we consume has wheat, sugar, and some sort of dairy or whey in it. Rice Flour is my new friend.
