Sometimes whenI am out working I happen across wild flowers which I sometimes cut and bring home for Mrs Anomalous. This I did on tuesday last (wild pea flowers) and put them in my lunch box to prevent them being damaged till I get them home. So later at the end of the day I was filling out some paper work in the tech room at the shop and being harrssed by flys which, Has anybody noticed how fly species become more anoying the hotter it gets? Anyway my lunch box is sitting on the table open from when moments go I was searching for the penn I keep in it. And I see one of the flys go in. So I go to chase it out and close the box. I looked in and the fly in the fly in the box problen had already been solved by a small green crab spider who had caught and was eating the still twitching fly. It was a gratifying sight, so I closed the box so as not to disturb its meal and later turned it loose on my Hastas in front of my house. Gotta love having alies in the bug world.

I had to work today, because the route that I do has too much work and can't be done in 4 days like the other crews managed to do. So I'm at my second job of the day,a church in a little town called Aurora. And I'm mowing along and people start showing up and setting up chairs along the street. I'm thinking that I know they don't want to sit and take in the spectical of me cutting grass. And it hits me, they are about to have a parade. I have an hour left of stuff to do and I'm not going to get away. damn I'm gonna have to watch this goofy small town parade. bugger this I got work to do, right? So I end up sitting alone on a big rock out in front of this place, its one of those center of town historical looking churches. So the parade shows up and it what I expected all kinda hoaky and stuff. All the town's fire equipment is there. They had a tractor pulling a haywagon full of kids tossing candy at the crowd cars with people in them waving, abunch of cheerleaders doing what they do (ugh). There was a junior karate club that would stop and the little one would break boards and the crowd would cheer. There was a 15' inflatable pink panther leaning on a giant inflatable hot tub( I didn't get the symbolism there). A biker on a Harley(?), another bunch of biker looking dudes carrying a giant flag by the corners, (I think they were vets). A Scotish marching band with bag pipes(that was cool). More cars pulling wagons full of little league ball teams, more fire equipment, more flags. And no one seemed to think any of it was strange, every one was happy to be there, happy to be with the people around them having a great time celebrating the birth of our nation. I'm German, Scots Irish, Norwegan,and Cherokee, my ancesters have been here 90,250,300,and 3000yrs or so. I guess I'm about as American as it gets. Picture this big guy with the face from my page sitting there with a tear running down his face. It was wierd but I don't think I've ever been more proud to be an American than at that moment, what a day.
That was my first post from three years ago. Has it it been 3 years realy? I didn't watch a parade today, in fact it has rained all day. And I havn't seen any fireworks this year, but I am still proud and thankfull to be an AMERICAN.
I recently met this young Ukrainian girl at the composting facility. I found out where she was from because I asked her about her akscent. She told me that she has been here 9 years and just got her citizenship this past winter. I congratulated her told her I am glad she is here.

Ok so last weekend was a three day so it sorta balances out. But since I have a rather loaded 5 day route of properties to mannage, not working monday invariably means working the following saturday.
Oops just remembered something I have to do to the car.

Spent most of the day up on the cliff at way point echo with the Anomalous security force (Lady Anomalous, Dr Hexagon, Severity) stringing barbwire fence to keep the twits from the park and campground of My land. Trouble is that they don't know or don't care that they are out of the park when they wander the cliff top to the old quary to get high. We are hopefull that old rusty cattle fence lace with libral amounts of coiled barbwire and many no tresspassing signs will deter them.
