We went to a wine fest with our neighbor Michele. The alcohol was pretty good and some crazy German band that reminded us a lot of the Wiggles played. The place got so busy that we could barely hear eachother shouting across the table from one another. Everybody was dancing on tables and singing along to the songs (well, we didn't) by the time we left. Definitely a repeat when the next one rolls around. I've also started step aerobics and Coversational German classes to keep me busy. I haven't started work yet (I need to get a background check), but I'm looking forward to life getting back to "normal." 1 comment 2004-09-08 00:02:40 ET Cross your figers, shake your rabbit's foot or do whatever good luck mantra you do.... I had a job interview today, which went really well. I want to be employed!! 7 comments Day From Down Below 2004-09-03 10:36:53 ET Absolutely horrible day....very long and tiring. We had to go to the Frankfurt Airport to pick up a friend's wife and two kids. Their flight came in at 6:30 AM so we had to leave here about 4:30. Getting there was fine, but until everything was said and done, we didn't leave the the airport until almost 9:30 AM. As luck would have it, that was only the begining of a problematic trip home. There were two pretty bad accidents in the opposing lanes that had our side shut down to one lane. What should have taken us around 2 hours, took nearly 4. It was hot and I was starting to get carsick with the constant stopping/starting every 30 seconds. But we finally got home and, since we only got a few hours sleep, we napped for a few hours. Joe's out getting some heiffelwiessen right now, and we're going to drink tonight in an attempt to recoup. I haven't really decided if that's going to help or hinder.... 1 comment Blah 2004-09-02 06:19:21 ET Got my hair cut yesterday and now it's doing this wierd flippy thing on the one side. Oh well, should have known better.... Four day weekend approaching! We had plans to go sightseeing in Garmisch; however, lack of money quickly snuffed those ideas. I feel quite badly about it since Joe's been working his ass of this week and really deserves some relaxation; I know he really wanted to get away this weekend.
