Its monday, its cold, we still havn't closed on our new house. We did drive out to see it last weds to remind our selve why we are going through this crap when we have a 2 story brick house that was built in 1912 and is restored and very beautiful and comfortable. Well! we came away thinking........"Mc way YES we want this place!" We pulled in the drive way, got out of the car and listened and the only thing we could hear was flowing water from the creek, a bird singing, and a distant airplane and thats all! This place is so beautiful its amazing. We needed to see it again to renforce our resolve because the seller's title co is so incompotent it's maddening. These people just can't be bothered to to do the job they were contracted to do which is to make the title transferable. Amazing isn't it.

Its been snowing again for 3 days and I need it to stop so the surveyer can do the rewright of the deed for my new house SO WE CAN CLOSE!!! I watched Solaris yesterday with the Clooney man and I have to say I think I like the Russian version better. I think the new one was very well made and stuff but some how I got a different message from the other one. Maybe I should read the book.
In other news, I sold 6 fans in the last 2 days with a possible 2 more which goes a long way toward my new toy fund,(mentioned in an earlier post). I also watched Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space for the first time. My wife and I were talking about it afterword and we don't understand how Ed Wood could be voted worst director of all time. We think Coleman Francis is much worse, at least Ed Wood could tell a story even if it was a rediculous one. I mean yea his films are dumb, poorly written acted staged and a host of other negatives, but try watching Red Zone Cuba, Sky Divers, or Beast of Yuka Flats. These films are incomprehensible. He tries desperatly to tell a story and fails miserably every time. I know forein films are often incomprehensible because the visual simbolism in that country is radicaly different from ours but these two are Americans. And still I watch thier films and wonder"what were they thinking?"
What do you think?

Well I still havn't closed on the new house and it is starting to piss me off. The seller is an out of stsate bank that insists on using an out of state title co that has a person named heather who can't be bothered to return phone calls from the sellers realestate agent. they have signed onto and missed one closing date and apointed a local agent on like the day before new years eve. Who promptly tries to set up a close on new years eve only to find out that they don't have a transferable deed because they did not get the legal discription of the property rewritten as per county requirments which they didn't know about because heather can't be bothered to do her job. Now I've had to delay my contractor which is a delay I can ill afford because it will take 45 days minimum to get us in the house. The kicker is that the house I live in is sold for full price to the first person who looked at it and is set to close this month, and take possesion next month. Grrrrrrrr!!!
In other anoying news I made the mistake of going to a gun show this past weekend. I only went for the entertainment value not to buy anything right? Well I almost got out without buying anything and I technicaly havn't yet. But I did sorta put money down on this beautiful Enfield Mk III that was made in India and is chambered for 308 nato instead of the normal and expensive 303 british. All of this means that it is my favorite old rifle of all time and it uses bullets I can afford. No problem right? just buy it right? Except my lovely wife told me not to buy anything and we spent my fan proffits and my christmas money and my bonus on other usless things like liscense plates for 3 cars and bills, bugger!!! So I have to find $300 in 2 weeks.
In other better news, I turn another year older on saturday, I did 300 pushups yesterday and I'll do 300 more tomorrow. The Lord has given me health and happiness and more blessings than I can count, I don't know how it is all going to work out but I know He will work it out, so the glass is always half full.

Just added some new pics, Wich won't matter to most but might to some.
I just wahched 4 episodes of Ultra Man from 1966. I found this new hole in the wall video store called B Ware Video. This place is way cool! They have tons of off the wall stuff like old drive in scifi and horrer, Ed Wood films, drivers ed films, Japanese monster films that aren't Godzilla or Gamera(have those too), this place has Eraser Head! They have a section for just Roger Corman films, I rented an Akira Kurasawa detective film called Stray Dog, havn't watched it yet but I see my self spending some time there. Way cool!

I hope that everyone had a joyous celebration of the birth of the one who came to salvage us. I know I did and I am more thankful than I know how to express.
I did also get to travel to Cinci to visit the family(hers and mine)and it was a good time for all. It was great to see all of them happy and healthy. On the 26th I took my lady Anomalous and my two sons to the pistol range where she fired her new gun for the first time http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg20-e.htm She liked it a lot and a noisy good time was had by all. The only down side was that my elder son who is in the navy had to leave that afternoon and drive back to Norfolk don't know when he will get leave again.
