Random Thought    2008-07-29 10:35:03 ET
Do you ever misspell something, perhaps through ignorance or on accident, on a search engine than it comes back at you with, "Are you sure you didn't mean this?" Doesn't that sound like the search engine is being condescending to you, because with your limited human intellect, it is inevitable that you will misspell a word and the search engine is there is clean up your bloody mess, but than it has to cheerfully remind you of your mistake... what a bastard.
See, thoughts like these are why I never get anything done.;p

 Bwahahaha!!!    2008-07-17 09:41:53 ET

Wow, this made me laugh more than I have in ages!
On another note, I am quitting Starbucks, I have an interview for cosmetics at Macys and I am applying at Halloween Club...wouldn't it be something to work for Ipso and Hallween Club, heh, I would be such a stereotype!
Oh, and I met R Lee Ermey at Ft. MacCarther days, got his autograph as well, I almost asked what he thought of the various bands who have sampled him, than thought better of it. That was a great day, all the period war reenactors and whatnot, almost makes me want to do it, I do occasionally enjoy geeking out, hell, I used to do cosplay, but I doubt I could easily get away with walking around in full SS officer regalia anywhere, even as a purely historical source of information as I would be, all people have to see is pale white girl with partially shaved head in Nazi uniform and they would freak out.
Sigh, no one wants to pay attention to the ugly parts of history, everyone wants to think that people are inherently decent, but fact is, there is no good and evil, the world is not so black and white, people need to evolve and cease thinking in such ways, that is why everyone is so easily shocked and so easily led by people, like Hitler, Stalin, even assorted American Presidents, who are charismatic and manipulative, throughout history, this has brought nothing but war and heartache, because inevitably, these tyrants release the power hold over peple and will not hesitate to use it. A sad fact about people in general. Wow, this entry went serious in a short amount of time, way to go Capt BringDown! ;p

 Ugh...    2008-07-08 01:24:27 ET
It's my birthday today.
So far, not so terrible, my parents gave me money, my best friend gave me a $150 gift certificate to Lip-Service.com and my other best friend and roomie Damian got me a sinfully delicious ice cream cake and a pack of three zombie movies, hopefully, they will be excellent MST3K fodder for me as they look to be silly but entertaining nonetheless.
I am however 26 now, the big 30 is looming in the horizon, but I had the same dread when I was approaching 25 and now it is more of an "Eh." feeling.
All I know that I am doing this day is getting my poor car washed and probably going to see a Ridley Scott double feature at the New Beverly Cinema, Bladeruuner and Alien are playing back to back. Two of my favorite movies, joygasm! :) Perhaps some shopping as well, I am looking for the book Fatherland by Robert Harris and two movies, Hangmen Also Die by Fritz Lang and Hitler's Madman by...not Fritz Lang, heh, I do not remember the director's name! ;p
As it happens, I randomly become obessesed with things and will thusly devour all the knowledge that I can lay my greedy fingers on that is related to said subject. Currently, said obsession is The Third Reich, and more specifically, the main heads of the dragon as it were, particularly Reinhard Heydrich, which is who both movies are centered around.
This interest has nothing to do with racism, bigotry or anti-semitism, it is purely academic curiosity about the psychology of these men and women and how it can be related to current world situations. It is part of the greater interest I have in true crime, and honestly, what greater crime was there in the 20th century, or as it is otherwise termed, The Bloody Century.
I am sure to encounter negative reactions due to this, not here, I consider the SK people to be of a better, more enlightened breed, but from people in the general public, of course, I would probably not even bother to bring it up to the average person.

Repo: The Genetic Opera    2008-05-26 11:02:25 ET
Has anyone seen the trailer for this? It is done by the people responsible for the Saw franchise. Honestly, it looks fantastic, how I have been waiting for a rock opera.;p Plus, it has Oghr in it, the man in the mask seen during the trailer. And, it comes out on my father's b-day... ha ha, which is hilarious because it is a movie he would never be interested in seeing.

Also, I am planning on going to the Ink'n'Iron Festival at the Queen Mary which is June 6-8, anyone else going to be?

 Tattoo Help!!!    2008-05-09 09:36:34 ET
I need some aide from my fellow So-Cali inhabitants. I am looking for a tattoo artist who is absolutely amazing, someone who could replicate faithfully this following work on my back:
http://www.esreality.com/files/inlineimages/2007/61370-giger.jpg
It will be my ultimate tattoo, not to mention an homage to my favorite artist, HR Giger. I know there are about seven million tattoo parlours in SoCal, I see them all the time, but for a work of this detail and magnitude, I need the best or close to it. Thank you for reading!
