I have been watching The League of Gentlemen a lot lately. yesterday I even made Jo stay up until 7am with me watching the second series. I just love them so much......they are my favorite. Are there any other League of gentlemen fans here? I havent really seen anyone else talk about them. I know that Spacematt is a fan.....THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE TALKING ABOUT THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!

new addition to heroes list    2006-07-13 02:37:13 ET
there is a man named Lee that me Jo, and Maria work with.
He is one of my heroes. He is a 70 year old badass. He will come down to where we are doing the "tie outs" (which is where the carriers get their bundles of newspapers) and take over and leave whoever is down there working with nothing to do. again, he is a badass.

I got really excited because today at work he said "good eye sarah" because I saw a "non opener" in a bundle of newspapers before it got given to a carrier. this made me really excited.

he is also one of the sweetest men alive. at the end of the day (well I guess its night) he will say "good job girls" to me jo and maria. he can always put me in a good mood when I dont feel like working.

the end.

my new heros    2006-07-12 02:40:27 ET
are jo's cats....they are sweet as pie.

I am not very fond of bugs....especially large ones, or bugs/spiders that can jump/fly. today I was sitting at my computer and a very very HUGE grasshopper jumping in my window and landed right next to me. I freaked out and left my room until josephine came home from work at which point she grabbed the general (one of the cats) whispered in his ear "earn your keep" and put him in my room so they could battle to the death.

as you might have already guessed the general and grr (the other cat) won the battle, and saved my life. I was very thankful. now as I speak there is a little spider that is freaking me out. but jo will be in here to take care of it for me. (yeah, I know...Im a sissy, but I cant deal with insects...they just creep me out, they look like little aliens) (note to self...get screen for window)

*edit* the spider is now dead....jo killed it.

letters to AZ and back    2006-07-09 05:27:38 ET
two days ago (or at least, I think it was two days ago...working at night fucks with my ability to know what day it is) I received a package from my younger sister (who lives in a far away land) in the package were the following:
-a painting she did, it is the largest she has done so far...she did it on one of her sheets, and was very surprised that our mom let her do so.
-a paint brush. it is the brush she used to paint it...she figured I would like it too.
-two letters she never sent
-a notebook that she wants to be sent back and forth so we can keep track of all of our letters to each other. (she added two rules to the notebook: one, you must add something onto the notebook before sending it, in addition to a letter. two, you *must* date the letter the notebook is titled "letters to AZ and back" (she made sure to underline back because she wants it to actually be sent back and forth) she put a few little pictures on the back and filled the inside cover with song lyrics. on the back there is a picture of my sweet little ralphie (who is my dog that lives with them)
-and a picture of her knuckles that said "ENGL. WHIZ" it made me laugh hysterically. I loved it.

I would also like to add that the package was decorated with little red polka dots...that I know were made with bingo dabbers...I know this, because I know my mom has several of them....and I know the difference between a normal painted dot, and a bingo dabber dot (that's right my mom plays bingo, what of it?)

I just started writing her back in it today...I'm not sure what my "cool little addition" will be yet. I'm really excited about it though, because I love receiving and sending mail... its one of my favorite things in life.

the end,

I also meant to mention (see my memory is bad, I forgot to write about this a few minutes ago when I posted a journal entry) that in the local newspaper there was an article that talked about how president Eisenhower "took care of the Mexican illegals" by deporting them in masses (which he called "operation wetback" apparently) the whole article was just crappy (the local writers aren't that great) but the article ended by saying of *ALL* the Mexicans living in the united states 85 percent of them are illegal... that sounds wrong, I haven't had time to find out what the actual numbers are, but the whole thing pissed me off, the article was kind of racist in the first place. I just would like to know where they got their information.
